Meet Philip Lepow

Vice President of Operations

Philip has been closely involved in all aspects of the development of Zeus Equity Group since its inception. With the Zeus Equity Group, Philip assists with underwriting prospective acquisitions with proformas used for financial analysis and due diligence, and oversees operations ensuring proper execution post-closing for acquisitions, much as he did prior to joining Zeus in 2016.

Philip’s integral contribution to Zeus Equity Group and other achievements won him the 2017 Employee of the Year award. His guiding philosophy can be summed up in a quote by Benjamin Franklin: “Well done is better than well said.”

Philip attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and majored in biology prior to attending Western University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles, where he sought his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. After completing his initial two years of medical school, Philip made the pivotal decision to depart from his family’s tradition in medicine and pursue his own path in business and real estate. He returned to the University of Houston and obtained a BA in Economics with a minor in Business Foundations. While there he earned certification in Economic Statistical Data Analysis, and Corporate Entrepreneurship from the esteemed Bauer College of Business.

Philip is a volunteer with the Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation. This Houston Astros All-Star and close personal friend’s non-profit organization creates awareness and programs aimed at advocates for stray and homeless animals. The goal is to support shelters and programs that promote pet adoptions and continue the journey to make Houston a no-kill city. Philip has also been actively involved with M.D. Anderson’s Cancer Center for over 10 years. He volunteers routinely to provide emotional support to patients at M.D. Anderson’s in-patient facility. Philip’s mother is a three-time cancer survivor and he is adamant about providing the same level of emotional support he and his family received when his mother was recovering from treatment.

When not working Philip enjoys traveling, the outdoors, cooking, and watching the Astros, Longhorns, Rockets, and Texans. He resides in Houston and is the proud pet parent of a Siberian Husky named Kyrie.
